The Shortcut Maker app is all that you need to get the feature on your Android device. The app comes with its own file manager, so it works with all Android phones irrespective of your default file manager. Along with files and folders, you can use the app to create shortcuts for activities, contacts, websites, and so much more. A cool feature is the ability to create split shortcuts so that you can launch two apps with one tap easily.
On your home screen, you create a widget of the photo you want. When you click on it, the photo opens in Google Photos. Open the Shortcut Maker app and select the In-App option. To do that, long press the home screen and select the Widgets option. Swipe up to the middle of your screen. If this doesn’t open your Overview, go to the steps for Android 8.1 & below.
Turn on app pinning
While Screen Pinning on Android devices seems like a lucrative option for provisioning single purpose devices, it also has a few disadvantages. Then long-press on the Shortcut Maker widget and add it to the home screen. Once everything is set up, tap on the Create shortcut button. Then in the pop-up, tap on Add automatically to confirm. Then you can enable the checkmark beside the Shortcut Lock if you like to lock the shortcut with a fingerprint, pin, or pattern lock.

Once done, tap on Create shortcut and then select Add automatically option in the pop-up to add Google Drive file to the home screen. Now instead of adding it as a shortcut, add it like a widget so you will have no app icon on the shortcut created. It will open the Shortcut Maker app.
Install and open Solid File Explorer and navigate to the file or folder that you want to add as a shortcut to the Android home screen. Go to the home screen of your phone and turn on an app that you wish to pin to the screen. If you want to place the icon somewhere different on your Home Screen, touch and hold the icon, and drag it to your desired location.
Touch and hold the app, then lift your finger. If the app has shortcuts, you'll get a list. When app pinning is on, you need to enter your PIN, pattern, or password before you can unpin. Scroll down the list of options until you find either the “Security” or “Security & Location” / “Security & lock screen” section of the list. Little things like this can make life a lot easier. You might have a few people you contact a lot, and you could put all these shortcuts on one page for easy access.
